... people should get off Drew Stubbs' back "because he's in the top 20 of runs scored in the league."

Same guy said "I know there's the perception that he strikes out a lot."

Yeah, 'cause all those wiffs are just my perception. :p

I perceive that he has K'd his last 6 abs. I hope they go extra innings. I've never got to witness a plutonium sombrero.

I think it is pretty irresponsible of Dusty to call WLW during the game...

I like Drew Stubbs I really do, but I think Dusty needs to sit Drew in the corner for a couple of Days. It did Bruce some good when Dusty did it to him 2 weeks ago.

That batting second has gotta stop.If I recall when Stubbs was batting at the bottom of the order he was hitting somewhat.

The Reds in general just don't adapt or get creative. Ever.

They aren't even baseball players to Dusty, they are all very specialized. Ludwick's not an outfielder, he's a left fielder. So and so is not a reliever, he's a 8th inning guy, ect. It's a shame because this team needs Frazier in the lineup.

Remember how painful it was to watch Griffey bat 3rd everyday when he was really struggling. At least they moved him to RF when he could barely get around.

In defense of that statement, Ludwick is a left fielder. He does not have much range and not much of an arm. Yet I understand where you are coming from. To Dusty, the catcher bats 8th because he can't run even though he hit's .290 and has one of the best eyes on the team (he may not have an OBP as high if the pitcher was not behind him, but still way better than anyone he puts at the top of the order). He still forced square pegs into round holes. Now, Dusty does have a way with players. I am often frustrated with the way he runs a game, but few can run a clubhouse like him. I think most people's frustration comes from the fact he could easily manage by the book (the new book) while still doing what he does best in the clubhouse. Yet he has a pre set of rules in the way he manages a game, but it's often very out dated at best. At worst it's downright baffling.

Definitely a line-of-the-year nominee. :beerme:

I second this. I actually laughed out loud.
