Just noticed that he's cracked the NL batting top 10 today at .300. Like others, he has stepped up big in Votto's absence. :thumbup:

every month he does good.

yea a lot of his hits our singles but he does it a lot.

I love when he battles and smacks it to RF....it's rare to get that ball past him.

He could copy Edgar Renteria, Derek Jeter and hit .320 with decent power using GABP.

Phillips is playing by far the best baseball of his career......and it's beautiful baby! :thumbup:

He is finally not having nearly as much fun when we lose as when we win, and his concentration level has gone up by leaps and bounds as a result.

He started playing at this level about 2 months in to this season IIRC. We are looking at a near MVP level basebsll player in BP now. If he can keep up this type of play for a whole season, then an MVP award may be in his future IMO. :)

Agree. When he consistently looks to smack it to right, he's a very, very dangerous hitter.
