Something to ponder on an off day -

Tuesday night at the game, it was announced that the Reds had reached 2 million in attendance earlier in the season than ever before at GABP.

So I got to thinking....how many people have seen at least 1 Reds home game this year? Obviously, 2 million people didn't come to one game each.
I, for example, saw 8 home games.

So how many different, individual people made a total of 2 million visits?

My guess is that there were around 375,000 different individuals through the GABP turnstiles, contributing to the 2,000,000 total so far.

Thoughts? Guesses? Mathematical Formulas?

I've been to 4 and I'll guess about 250,000 different people.

I've been to 35 home games so far. My wife has probably been to 20-25.

I believe I read somewhere that the season ticket base is somewhere around 12k. Say the average ST holder has a 20 game package and that's 240k of your 2 million.

Do you have an 81-game season ticket plan? A lot of the full-season ticket plans are sold to companies who use them on clients. So a fair number of different individuals actually use those 81-game seats.

I would probably go with close to 750,000 different people actually see a game.

im guessing around 700K. IDK i just think most people who go only attend 1 or 2 games a year. Guesses so far are around 300K i doub the average fan is going to 8-10 games a year.

If the people on this board are the diehard fans, and if you look at how many games they say they have attended in their signatures, it is not a whole lot.

We only have a 20 game package. We're looking to upgrade to a full season package next year to split with some friends/family. I'd like to keep about half and let the others split up the rest.

If you have a 20-game plan and miss a game early in the season. Can you exchange those tickets for a game later in the season?

I'd put the average at around 4 or 5. But I also have no stinkin' clue.

I agree. This is a regional franchise. People drive in for the weekend and see 2 or 3 games.

I've been to 3 Reds games, 2 at Citi Field against the Mets and 1 at Yankee stadium. I'd love to make it to GABP soon though maybe next summer. My dream is to live close to GABP and have season tickets.

It would be interesting to see the distribution but I bet there are a lot more people that go to only 1-2 games than most think. Personally I've been to about 10 at GABP with at least 4 more plus all the home playoff games. I also went to 2 at Wrigley and will be in Pittsburgh the last weekend of the season.

By my quick math, I think I've been to 12 games this season.
