Who was it on here about 4 or 5 weeks ago that guaranteed Jay Bruce would end the season with a lower batting average than Drew Stubbs?

Please come forth.

It wasn't me -- but for a few days it did seem possible

In July Bruce hit @.219 and Stubbs hit .239 w 5 longballs -- they were trending in opposite directions for a while --- but the universe returned to balanced & Stubbs gave us a .185 in August & .107 so far this month

It was me. When I said it Bruce was at .239 and Stubbs was at .231. Bruce took his vitamins for a week and a half and got hot now he's trending back to his July numbers. They may want to see if Stubbs needs glasses or something. He's not as bad as he's going.

I said it would be close to the end. Honestly it looked like it would be close, neither were hitting and their batting averages were close.

Kudos for admitting.

Boo for the prediction.....although Jay Bruce was the player of the week, Dusty played him against Wandy and since he's 1 for his last 21.

At some point Bruce needs to get over that Wandy thing. And I wouldn't put it all on that anyway, Bruce is gonna go molten hot and ice cold regardless.

Yeah he does need to get over it....but his molten hot ended the instant he faced Wandy and his ice cold began.

Why play him? 2/29? Why? "Don't want a man to feel like he owns you"....that was Dusty's excuse back when he was 1/24.

If the Pirates (still just 2 out) sneak in and make it to the Reds....I'm sitting Bruce against Wandy.

I wish I could find evidence to agree with you about Stubbs
