A two-out walk to Joey Votto brings Ludwick to the plate. Ludwick flies out to right-center. Homer Bailey will take the mound.

Nobody will ever be another JV.

Although Dave Stieb came about as close as you can without doing it.

WORST Nightmare

Reds lose to the Giants in 5 and Drew Stubbs goes 7/20 with 6 runs, 3 SB an OF assist and the GW walkoff or run creator in game 4.....

You know the rest.

texasdave

That is not even within the realm of what is possible in this universe.

One good game (game 4) and 3 infield squibbers....all possible.

How crazy is this? Texas has been in first place since April 9th, and if Baltimore wins tonight the Rangers miss the playoffs.

Too bad we can't play another 10 regular season games. I'm sure Stubbs would be under .200 by then.

Not good!

Who else is not good?

Thom....

Here is the pitch on 1-0 where they called a hit and run....it was 94 mph
6326

Here is the very next pitch (84 mph) that Thom says the very same pitch...

What is also terrible, besides being the toughest out in baseball and a worthy GG winner last year....Joey Votto has atrocious footwork on those plays....his foot is on the back portion of the bag instead of the front corner costing him 8-10 inches but he doesn't stretch towards the throw but like the throw is coming from SS....cost him 3 feet!....and the easy call.
