I knew it was coming when he was lucky to get rewarded time on the pitch before.

Ross 2 run HR! 2-0 Atlanta after 2.

HometownHero
10-05-2012, 05:45 PM
What a great time to be wrong about starting Ross. Cards luck may have ran out they lost a HR, then in the Ross AB it saw Craig get scared of the wall on foul into the first row after injuring knee on a foul ball, then a HR after a strike three after late time was granted.

HometownHero

Doesn't look like Cardinals fans are taking the late time given on the swinging strike three very well.

A hit to start the 4th and then Chipper tossing one into the RF on a sure DP and the Cards are about to get back in it.

Chipper! O no! And then Craig! Here the Cardinals come...

This game is exactly why I hate the one game play off. Braves went 5-1 vs Cardinals and finished 6 games better in standings but one bad error opened up the door for them to win and send the Braves home.

To have a 162 game grind come down to one game is criminal. It should be series based at least, best of 3 games for it to make sense.

My idea was best of 3, and the wild card team with the best record plays them all at home. Being the last wildcard team is basically a freeroll at this point, you should have 0 advantages.

They got in by 2 games, he drove in 5 runs twice in games won by 3 runs so those two games alone show he get them in. He had 27 HR this year 18 of them came in tie or one run games and 55 of his RBI has came within a one run game.

He has 1 HR and 12 RBI the whole year in games separating by more than 4 runs.

Cards get into the NLDS despite being 6 games worse than the normal WC winner and their punishment is to go home for the first two game and not have their rotation disrupted one bit to play a team they just beat in a series last week at home with Wainwright.
