You gotta have a ton of guys getting on base for you to drive in 104 runs with a .250 average and 24 HRs.

Or be very good with RISP

My gosh...mine is 700 before Ins...Didn't know it could go that high??

Goes significantly higher than that for certain and highly advanced therapies. Can be thousands per dose. Off topic.

Have to be there at 9, but I always stay up late, not a big sleeper. After this many beers though, I can see myself having a really unproductive day tomorrow. Luckily my boss is a Reds fan :) Start drinking water the rest of the game.

I'd be angry if it wasn't so predictable. We will have to stop them come WS time. Don't think Detroit can do it. And, as much I'd love to see the O's pull one out of the hat, it's just not realistic.

Always seems odd to me when Righetti trots out for SF. Remember him so well on the mound in NY. Seems almost pointless to cycle through relievers at this point. It's the 8th.

Anyone here remember the "Righetti spaghetti! Hey, I like that" commercial.

Another run in for the Yankees...

Believe it or not I'm a dancer & not 'POLE".....Danced in an adult dance troop until I was in my mid 30s.....No chicken dance yet....But I'll give it a go!:jump:

Didn't know what to make of that so, no, didn't join in. Asked a bunch of the people selling me brews, brats and cream puffs but none could explain its provenance. So I deferred.

There are probably a dozen threads here on RZ I have yet to discover on rituals. One of mine is I never turn off a postseason game for any of my teams in any sport irrespective of the score. Doesn't matter how many innings nor how late nor how early I need to be up. Just don't do it. If the Reds go all the way this year as I expect, that and another hat ritual I've just adopted will be the clear reasons why. With maybe a little credit to the team and Dusty too.

I'm in Dayton and there's a good Oktoberfest here, too, but it's just not for me. My father was German, but I just don't drink, and that seems to be the main event there.

I live in the Dayton area also (Kettering) I probably drink more than enough for both of us...
My Mom was German/Irish so I guess it's in my blood. (But she was not much of a drinker at all.)
I don't think I've ever woke up, saying, "Damn I wish I would have drank more last night!"

boring game for awhile, but loved the outcome. I know how those giants fans felt most of the game during game 3 in 2010, not a good feeling, especially with SRO.

Hopped on over to cbssports to look for a post game article, and laugh at the silly comments. 1st 4 articles of the 4 articles on October 8 are about Yankees.

Not one Reds article.

Big Reason why I wanted to avoid getting the #1 seed and face SF.

Regular Season win Splits for Giants
vs Lefthander: 40-19
vs Righthander: 54-49

And now 0-2 added to the RHP to make it 54-51 overall. We are a nightmare for their bats match up wise with no LHP in the rotation and ones in the pen are two of the best LH relief pitchers in the game.
