Its doubtful that they'd place Louisville and G'town on the same side of the bracket. I believe conference teams are allowed to meet in the Elite Eight but I think they'd avoid that matchup seeing how they've already played twice this year.Quote:

If there's eight teams and it's too difficult to make the bracket work by spreading all eight apart you could have a 2nd round matchup, but otherwise you're correct. Also, the top three teams from a conference have to be put into three different regions, so Georgetown and Louisville can't play until the Final Four.Quote:

There are a bundle of different rules to follow, and sometimes two teams are forced by the teams around them to take the same spot, so you have to reshuffle things.
