Disappointed Yonder Alonso isn't playing every single night. He needs the experience in left field playing nightly would provide. The only way to improve is experience. Would like to see Devin Mesoraco out there every night too.
Sappelt with a 1 out double. The bat is coming around. He's still my CF in 2012 with Stubbs dealt for pitching and Heisey as a fall back..
Janish continues to be a black hole in the lineup. I know defense is important, but we must score runs and Janish continues...well, what I said before.
Chat is open!
Homer leaves with 2 out in the 8th, a 4-1 lead, and a runner on 1st. Nice outing.
Chapman coming in to face the lefty Seth Smith.
Yonder sighting. PH single in the 9th.
Phillips HBP. Two on, one out.
Sappelt grounds into double play. Rockies up against the wall, trailing the Reds 4-1 in the ninth.
Yonder makes it look too easy at times now 25 for 60 batting .416 as a Red.
Nelson grounds out to SS. One down for Cordero.
PH Pacheco grounds to SS. Two down.
Fowler strikes out. Reds win. 4-1. Bailey with a strong 7.2 inning outing to elevate his record to 8-7. Cordero records his 32nd save.
Hanigan was the man again, sparking the Reds' four-run rally in the sixth inning with a bases-loaded single, scoring two. Janish also contributes an RBI, his first since June 24.
