Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
This is the last one, so make it count.
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
I went with Silva. I think he raises his stock significantly this year and is a top 30 prospect. Tremendous power, and he could be similar to a Juan Duran
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
Mace Thurman will not be denied.
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
1B Chris Richburg
Athletic first basemen with decent power and a knack for driving in runs. Age might be a bit of a concern but a late start is better than no start at all.
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
Went with last year's Redzone #21 Josh Fellhauer again because Fellhauer kinda rhymes with Jack Bauer and at #50 that is good enough for me.
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
Went with Silva, though wanted to say I have always liked 'ole Mace, the kid just does his job. I am also intrigued by this Florentino kid but too little info, at too late a point in the process.
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
Mace!
So, we'll wrap up with 12 straight pitchers. FWIW, it took 33 picks to get the first 12. There was only one in between those two dozens, so, curiously, we elected 25 pitchers and 25 everyday players. I guess our consensus is that the depth of the organization's pitching is okay, but the star power (other than Chapman), not so much.
Of course, a number of pitchers (Wood, Leake, Maloney, Ondrusek, JSmith) are only a year removed from the prospect list. Among everyday players, only Heisey fits that description (unless I've overlooked someone or two).

I'm staying with Greene. Tough, versatile, switch hitter with plus speed. He seems to have a number of ways to stick on a ML roster some day.
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
Bump in case anyone else is looking for last year's list
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
I thought this was for 2012. Posting the #50 vote now seems like something cammy would do...
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
Just out of curiosity, are there any of these players who are no longer in our system after this season?
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
Valiquette was released. I guess we'll have to see on the likes of Correa, Dorn, Klinker, Negron and Gil.
Re: Who is Redszone's #50 prospect?
Klinker nor Dorn are free agents.
