Costanzo breaks up the no-hitter with a line single with one out in the fifth. Rojas singles with two down. Pop fly ends the threat.
Paduch out after five. Romulo Sanchez in. Pretty much the same result. 1-2-3.
Neftali Soto with a tough day. 3 trips to the plate and 3 Ks. Costanzo, oh my, is out at second. Hit it off the top of the wall in right but is thrown out.
Francis coming out with one out in the home 7th. Two runners on. Carlos Fisher coming in. Wild pitch, Fisher dawdles getting to the plate to cover. Runner scores. 5-0.
New pitcher for the Bulls, Dane de la Rosa. Rhinehart greets him with a round tripper. 5-1. With two gone, Perez singles and Valaika walks. Phipps to the plate. Runners move up 90 feet on a passed ball/wild pitch. Phipps one-hops the Blue Monster for a double that cuts the deficit to 5-3.

Soto with a solid single to start the ninth. Soto steals second but doesn't. Defensive indifference. Not sure why you wouldn't throw down to second in that situation. Soto isn't a speedster and an out is an out. Rhinehart with a Blue Monster single. Two straight blasts off the bat of Rhinehart. One results in a home run, the other a single. The batter before Costanzo faced a lefty and whiffed, making him 2 for 21 against lefties. 7-4.
Rojas singles to right. His second hit of the afternoon. Negron, representing the tying run, will pinch hit for Peacock. How big was that two-run blast in the bottom of the eighth now?
