Figured with the mock draft coming up we could utilize this thread to talk about all things NFL draft.
P.S. Tavon Austin and Marquise Goodwin are really, really fast! 4.25 unofficial 40 times, several scouts had Goodwin at a 4.19

Jarvis Jones moving down some boards due to the spinal stenosis that caused USC to let him go.
Knile Davis just ran a 4.30 unoffical at 6' 220. He added some money to his pocket.
Barner from Oregon, who the common fan would consider really fast, ran a 4.44 at 5'11" 195.
Monte Ball ran a 4.62 40 today. Pretty much where everyone expected him to run. He definitely will not go in the first round now and has to be looked at as a late 2nd to 3rd round guy.
DE Sam Montgomery from LSU just took himself out of the first round by admitting he took plays and games off. His agent must be thrilled.
DT and possible top 5 pick Star Lotulelei has a heart condition spotted by the medical tests done at the combine. According to medical folks his left ventricle is only pumping in the 40% range where a normal heart operates between 55-70%. This may drop the kid out of the first round. You can't give guaranteed money to a kid with a heart condition.
Monte Ball 4.62 40 time for the power back from Wisconsin. Pretty much where most expected him to be. He needed faster times to be considered a first round guy.
Te'o ran a 4.82 at the combine, he looked soooo slow too. I see him sliding out of the first round due to that performance.
Alex Ogletree ran a 4.70 which I thought was a bit slower for him, couple that with a DUI arrest and he is going to have some question marks on him. Still considered mid first round talent.
Dion Jordan ran a 4.60 and is a top 5 guy in this draft.
The combine isn't the end of everything for Te'o as far as the first round goes. He still has a pro day at Notre Dame with lots of scouts watching to get his stock back on the rise. Even with the slow 40 time I would expect late first early second round for this guy. Remember Rey Maulaluga ran a 4.86 at his combine and fell to the second round. Both players seem pretty comparable.
Tyler Bray starting to rise a bit according to some at the combine. He definitely has an arm but mechanics and his head have always been issues. He showed up at the combine ready to work and has made some strides.
Impressed with the Oregon kid Dion Jordan, BYU's Ezekiel Ansah, and the Auburn running back.
Feel bad for Utah's Star Lotulelei and Teo. One Gm said that if Teo was playing for Washington he wouldn't have been a every down LB in the Pac 12. Thats pretty bad with how they play defense.
It sucks for Lotulelei but he may be fortunate to have found out now than let it go unknown for years.
I am tired of hearing about Teo. This combine was a put up or shut up moment and he ran a slow 40 and didn't bench because of a 'stinger'. He has Bengal written all over him now.
Teo in the 1st, Honey Badger in the 2nd.
