Dayton scored 4 in the top of the first and rolled on to an 8-7 defeat. Ryan Wright (.312) was 3-4 with a 2B and 3 RBIs and Kyle Waldrop was 2-3 with his first HR of the season. But it wasn't enough to overcome the pitching of Radhames Quezada, who lasted three innings and coughed up 7 runs (6 earned).

French allowed an unearned run in the top of the fourth to tie it up at 1. Juan Duran had an error on a two out flyball in foul territory. The batter hit an RBI double later in the AB.
