Depends who you talk to.
Yes, he deserves another start.
Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
Wasn't impressed with Homer today.... his stuff was non-existant. His best pitches, fastball and curveball were not leaned on heavily, and those are the pitches he needs to succeed.
For much of the game he was able to throw strikes, but hardly pinpoint command. More throwing it over the plate than locating his pitches in an effective way. I don't know how many swings and misses he got, but it must have been very few. Basically, he looked to me like what I expected from his minor league performances. The amount of earned runs plated grossly flattered him IMO.

6.1 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 1 K
(one run scored was given up by Affeldt)
He threw only 60 pitches through five so he was very pitch efficient early on.
Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
There's no doubt he earned another start. Just needs to bring his K rate up.
Re: 6/5/08 at Philadelphia
What happened to the Reds offense? No-hit through 6 last night, 2 hits through 7 today, 3 hits total, shut out completely. Yuck.

They were hungover reading hunting magazines.

Did Patterson really have a 1 pitch AB to end the game?

Ranks #373 in the NL in P/PA at 3.22, just below Aaron Harang.
