Two extra base hits allowed in the last 65 batters and that doesn't earn a guy trust?

Too late. Jim Coombs was the inventor and perfected the bunt HR.

If we have any hope of wining the Central, isn't this pretty much a must win?
Re: 9/18/13 Reds v. Astros
BTW, tomorrow the Reds are off but the other relevant teams play.
Cards at Rockies day game.
Pads at Pirates day game.
Marlins at Nationals.

No, but it gets harder every time you lose.

I think the Reds saw some slippage with Latos and wanted to give him the extra two days off. That's the only explanation that makes sense to me.
For a franchise well short on reasons to get cocky, they sure are playing it too clever by half.
We should be very bored and up 4-0 right now.

Even if the Reds win they have no chance. They're playing for home field in the one game playoff. And they might let that slip away.

I disagree. It was a good idea. We had a well rested bullpen. I liked the idea of starting Reynolds against the AAA Astros. He allowed two runs. We shouldn't even be talking about him.

Can something be considered slipping away when you've been trailing it for 4 months?

Astros announcers say Frazier looks lost at the plate.

2.5 with 10 games left? Not sure your math checks out.
