I'm biased, but I definitely want to see Pedro Alvarez in the derby. I don't know of anyone in MLB with as much raw power as he has.
No Reds hopefully. The Derby can screw up a player's swing sometimes, it seems like.
Giancarlo Stanton and I don't care if anyone else even participates.
Adam Dunn!!!
I always thought it'd be cool to have an Alumni HR Derby. Bring some retired players back and see which ones still got it.

Has Dunn ever been in it? Can't recall, but I don't remember him getting to participate before.
Never understood why Dunn never partook. Sure, he strikes out a bunch but so what? The dude has PRODIGIOUS power that would surely please the populace.
Do you have to be an AS to participate? Or did you have to be one in the past before they allowed players to pick & choose?
I think they prefer it but I think that's silly. I want a HR show...not friggin McCutchen.
Always had to be an all-star until about 4 years ago.
Jose Canseco!!! He can knock some bombs and let us know all about his theories of gravity! What a win-win
(for as much as I'm j/k, I have to admit, it WOULD be quite "entertaining", a word that I unfortunately can not use to describe a lot of recent HR derbys).
I'd like to see a HR derby playoff leading up to the All Star Game with team champions facing off home and home in shorter contests (ten swing total, maybe) and the division winners and a wild card making it to the actual derby (which again needs to be shorter than it now is.)
