AZL Reds fall 2-1. But Brennan May (2-4, .323) continues to surprise. (On the other hand, he struck out more times today--twice--than Torreyes did in all of June.)
No Rosa today... I'm getting worried...
Just heard Ryan Wright promoted to Billings
Sorry old news
After giving up a leadoff home run, Klinker escapes the first with one run scored.
Josh Smith not having his best night. Dayton trails 4-0 after four (only two earned).
Torreyes is 2-2, and now at .415.
It appears that Klinker's ship has sailed. Mudcats now trail 5-1 after three.
Lousiville scoreless so far, through 4 1/2

One of my favorite teenaged pitchers in the system last year was Luis Gonzalez, who posted a 2.49 ERA and a WHIP under 1.00 for the VSL Reds at the age of 17. This year, he hasn't maintained the pace. Today, however, he went 8.1 and gave up just one run in a 2-1 victory. Strangely (although sometimes these box scores are not the last word), he neither walked nor struck out anybody.
This thread got quiet.
Dayton lost 5-4. Duran had two doubles. Torreyes finishes the night at .412.
Carolina's in the bottom of the ninth. It was 5-2 when they came to bat. The first three reached and a wild pitch made it 5-3. Rodriguez bats.
Louisville lost 2-0 in 10. Jordan Smith gave it up.
Volquez: 6 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 4 K. Boxberger also threw two scoreless.
Rodriguez K's. Campbell and Soto to follow with the tying runs on second and third.
Hmm. Billings scored three in the top of the first and trails 7-3 after three. Drew Poulk has a 2B and HR. McMyne: not a good evening.
