This. He should be hitting 8th and getting the least amount of at-bats, not the most. Really he needs about a week off to clear his head. But if it didn't clear over the winter, I am not sure an extra week is going to help.

no marshall is rly good. since when did 1 game determine a pitcher?

Good point. Plus he hadn't pitched in a long time.
Edit:
1. Bray isn't as good as everyone thinks.

"Arroyo had no problem with being lifted.
“We talked about it the inning before,” Arroyo said. “I wasn’t even real strong at the beginning of the game. My pitch count was real high. But basically they needed me to get righty out. They wanted to get a matchup there. It worked out in their favor, but that’s the way we’ve got to play it.”

That wasn't Bray's fault. It went off Ludwick's glove and over. I am sorry but everything can't be a six-hopper to the shortstop or a can of corn. Sometimes professional baseball players have to make professional plays. I bet if you ask Ludwick he would say he should have caught it. His reaction seemed to indicate that.
Re: Reds vs. Nationals Friday 4/13/12
In the end it doesn't matter. If this team doesn't hit then it is gonna be a very long season.
Re: Reds vs. Nationals Friday 4/13/12
Take the next two and this team skips out of town at .500. For how anemic the offense has been that would be close to a miracle.
Re: Reds vs. Nationals Friday 4/13/12
St. Louis and Milwaukee are waiting for the Reds. Nice.

Dusty tries to be a players manager. Believe in them even when they are down and not producing. He likes to appeal to the players on his bench... that way he's "liked" where he works. He doesn't have the courage to do things that may create conflict in his workplace, make changes to WIN ball games.

Reds are due to score a bunch of runs. They cannot hit .125 w/RISP forever. Unless only Drew Stubbs gets to hit w/RISP.

I would expect Bronson to back up Dusty and I am not doubting what he said was the truth --- but -- if I was managing I think I would have asked Marshall to pitch an inning + since he had only pitched 2 innings so far this year and the bullpen has been abused some.
My managing might have fared no better though --- now Stubbs being on the roster --- not on my team.
