Tim Crabbe on the mound.
Dayton tied 0-0 in the 3rd:http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats...g_box&sid=milb
Nick Travieso: 3 IP, 3 H, BB, 4 K
Phil Ervin in the lineup at DH: 0-1, grounded into force out.
DSL Rojos won 5-3:http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats...g_box&sid=milb
DSL Reds lost 3-1:http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats...g_box&sid=milb
Louisville now postponed.
I think they are likely just going easy with Ervin, since it was a travel day for him and everything.
Plus he was playing both CF/RF in Billings, so that could continue at least the rest of this regular season, while he nurses that ankle.
Agree fully on Travieso.
Dragons tied 1-1 after 6 innings.
Travieso: 5.2 IP, 7 H, ER, 2 BB, 4 K
Beau Amaral: 1-3
Zach Vincej: 1-3, 2B
Phil Ervin: 0-3
Sammy Diaz: 1-2, Solo HR
Nice outing for Travieso but nothing overwhelming. Would like to see him at least show flashes of dominance. Like more K's than guys reaching base for an outing or two. It's not like he's extremely young for A ball - at least for a first round pick (let alone guy drafted in the top 25).
Dayton won 6-2.
Ervin: 0-3, BB, RBI
Pensacola lost 3-2.
Crabbe: 6 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 K
Yorman Rodriguez: 1-4
Tucker Barnhart: 1-3
Travis Mattair: 1-4, Solo HR
Bakersfield trails 2-0 after 3:http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats...g_box&sid=milb
Bakersfield now leads 8-5 in the 8th.
They have HRs from Selsky, Duran and Waldrop.
Bakersfield hung on to win 8-6.
Waldrop's last 10 games pretty good.
