A ground rule double may have just cost the Blue Wahoos a run. Didi Gregorius walked and Henry Rodriguez hit a ground rule double. Gregorius looked like he could have scored.
It may have, the next batter struck out to end the inning. Heading to the bottom of the 12th, still tied.
Chris Manno gets LOW to the ground when he throws.
David Vidal was just thrown out of the game for Bakersfield for arguing balls and strikes.
Pensacola could be in trouble. Chris Manno walked two and they stole a base each. Two outs in the inning, big batter right here.
A wild pitch does it for Pensacola. Manno had a swipe tag at the plate, but didn't catch the ball. He then attempted to stop the runner from going back to touch home plate for a second. Not sure he realized he didn't have the ball.
Bakersfield now leads 9-6 after Curtis Partch gave up a run in the 7th.
Bakersfield won 9-6. Partch went the final 3 and gave up just one run.

Early returns show Partch doing well in the transition from starter. Seems like that could be a fairly significant development, since they stuck with him through a whole lot of struggles as a starting pitcher. It suggests that they must think he has something in him. Maybe he's wired for the bullpen.
