Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
Bats are quiet again tonight. Louisville trails 2 zip after six full. Chad Reineke started for Louisville. 6IP 9H 2ER 1BB 3K. Bats have five singles. Gregorius, Rodriguez, Soto, Harris and Peacock. High batting average in the lineup is .246. Can't expect a whole lot more. Two of the five were picked off. Not much good baseball played in Louisville this summer. Oh, yeah. Devin Mesoraco is 0-3.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
It says Tennessee and Pensacola are warming up. Seems like they are starting the game kinda late. Wirfin Obispo (2.16) is the scheduled starter. He has been pretty dominating in AA this summer.
Pensacola is 1.5 games out and their elimination number is 4. They may have to win out.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
Jacob Johnson's lost summer has come to a close. 5.2IP 6H 5ER 2BB 3K. Dayton trails 5-3. Sean Buckley has a double. Perez, Terry, Silva and Arias with singles. The high batting average in the lineup tonight for the Dragons is .276. Tough year for the sticks.

Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
AZL Reds season is over. They lost their last five games to finish at 18-38. Respectable on the road they rolled over frequently at home (6-22). Jonathan Reynoso did make the all league team. Not particularly strong numbers with the bat so he must really be able to flag them down in the outfield. Yay!
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
Louisville game moving right along. Reineke with a 1-2-3 seventh. Phipps with a single in the 8th. Still 2-0.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
Didi Gregorius followed Phipps' single with a two-bagger to put two ducks on the pond. But Mesoraco pops out. Nothing happens in the ninth. Louisville falls 2-0.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
In Pensacola, Obispo allows a solo home run in the top of the first and that is the extent of the scoring so far. Barnhart and Obispo had back-to-back singles in the second but were left stranded. Wahoos trail 1-0 in the third.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
Dayton fought back with 3 in the bottom of the sixth to grab a one-run lead but Jimmy Moran, with the help of some shoddy defense, gave two right back in the seventh and the Dragons trail 7-6. A triple off the bat of Sammy Diaz with the bases loaded has been the big blow for Dayton.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
Absolutely nothing happening in the first 1.5 innings in Billings. No hits for either team. Drew Cisco has fanned four.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
Billings now up 4-0 in the fifth. The big blow was a bases-jammed triple by Brandon Dailey. Drew Cisco has been dandy.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
P'cola leads 2-1 in the sixth. Obispo still going strong, in spite of four walks. Hamilton's 0-3, Lutz has a double.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
Unlike the Reds, Dayton can't win without Votto. Dragons go down 8-6. Arias and Silva each had a couple safeties.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
Cisco for the night: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K.
Billings relievers, however, have coughed up 8 runs in the seventh, which is still going. Mustangs now trail 8-6.
Vincej's two hits put him at .384.
Edit: Missoula ended up scoring 9 in the inning against four relievers.
Re: Thursday 8/30/2012 Minor League Updates
Not going well for Pensacola. Obispo gave up another HR and left after six innings of 3-run pitching (which, for him, is getting shelled). Hamilton is 0-4 with 2 K. Wahoos trail 4-2 in the eighth.
