sure bet for 6-13
I know it is obvious but Volquez has to step up and be a stopper today.
I know it's WAYYY too early in the season but it's not a good idea to get swept by the Cubs or the upcoming series with the Brewers.
We are facing a lefty today, that usually spells trouble. Volquez may come down to earth a little and if that happens it will be six in a row.
At this point, I'm not feeling good about anything Reds related.
Volquez cant give up more than 2 runs. Or were in big trouble.
The thing that kills me is crosley field has been ripe for some long balls this entire series. Pop-ups are leaving the yard. And how many have we hit? 1hr? Griffs? We need the bats to come alive for crying out loud!
Dunn also hit a HR last night that I think landed in the lake by the time it had stopped leaving the stadium. That was a total bomb.
The bats really need to wake up and take advantage of the fact that Lilly isn't the same pitcher he was last year. Dude has like a 9.something ERA right now and they said last night his velocity was down this year. PLEASE hit off him today.
He's already walked in a run today. I can't help but fight that sick, sinking feeling right now. Please, Reds, you're better than this.
Joey Votto is my hero today. That's all I've got right now. :jump:
