OBM in the house! Ok, I am a day or so late. But it's the thought that counts. :)
Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
Marcos Molina threw a scoreless 7th inning. The GCL Reds have allowed 0 hits through seven innings. 6-0.
Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
It's now 8-0 GCL Reds after eight innings. They still haven't allowed a hit through eight innings...
Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
And sadly it ends. Rays tripled to lead off the 9th. 8-1 final. The Rays came into today hitting .192, and actually managed to lower that.
Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
Ramon Rodriguez gave up a lead off triple to begin the 9th to lose the no-hitter.
The GCL Reds won 8-1.

Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
GCL Reds won 8-1.
Theodis Bowe 4 for 5
Billy 2 for 4
Cristobal Rodriguez 3 for 4 with a double
Henry Rodriguez 2 for 4
Ramon Rodriguez needs to make it to the majors so we can have a guy on the Reds called RamRod.
Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
Going through the PBP, the Rays actually singled in the 8th. Don't know why the box score wasn't showing it.
Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
Hamilton getting some hits in, nice to see.
Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
Duran seems to be really struggling. A year older than Yormon too.
Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
What do we know about this Theodis Bowe character?

He started off very slow (something like 0-for-24) but since then has hit somewhere around .280 with a decent walk rate and nearly half his hits are extra-base hits. I'm not concerned yet. The reports on him were that he was a little more raw than Yorman and he's still adjusting to his body after growing about six inches in less than a year.

Plus he is just about to turn 18, meaning he would probably be a senior in high school. Impressive to even be in the GCL.
Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
Manuel and Sutton were called up to the Reds.
Baez and Griffin are on their way back to Louisville.
The Bats roster is 2 short until tomorrow.
Re: Monday 7/27/09 minor league updates
Frazier is playing second base again tonight.
