Nah.
*sigh* Yep. No doubt. No question in my mind that he wouldn't have given up a hit. Oh wait....he did.
If only Simon had pitched the 8th and 9th. If only Parra had pitched the 8th and 9th. If only Mesoraco had pitched the 8th and 9th. Its easy to play armchair manager with hindsight and without all the information.
Hoover hadn't pitched in 4 days, you say he's rusty...but you also wanted him to pitch 2 innings to close it out when Ondrusek, Simon AND Parra were all available? Not sure I follow that logic.
Soriano flies out to left.
It just occurred to me this is almost to the day the anniversary of the extra inning marathon in San Diego where Harang threw all those innings. It was 5 years ago this Sunday on a Memorial day weekend that happened. now 5 years later this game has just hit the 4 hour mark
Jeez, lady, it's the 10th inning - get your nose of that book!
Hairston walks
Might as well forfeit this one since there's nobody left to use in our bullpen. ;)
2 out double and the Cubs up 5-4
Yeah Hoover was the answer...totally blows ur whole argument.
Ouch
Dusty stunned? Yeah right.
If only these relievers could pitch longer than two outs.
