Best prospect the Reds have?

Nice shout out on ESPN Sweetspot blog about Cingrani. And to think our farm system was depleted after the Latos trade, :beerme:
Re: Best prospect the Reds have?
I haven't read the article yet, but I can see the headline. I will listen to arguments that Hamilton isn't the Reds best prospect, but Cingrani isn't the guy I will listen to it about. He did look awfully good last night though.
Re: Best prospect the Reds have?
And he linked to two different pieces of my work. Fantastic.

If I would say Robert Stephenson is the Reds best prospect, would I be wrong?

No. I think you can make the argument for either guy and have it hold plenty of water.

That is awesome. I surely appreciate the work you put in. If you can call that work :)

I get paid for it, so I am pretty sure it qualifies as work. I love it, but there are days where I simply am burned out. I hate those days because I know I shouldn't feel like that.

it's like that with everything tho. even if you love something. I'm guessing it happens less with something you love tho :)

I really like Cingrani. I'll never know why Walt brought him up last year. It's like having a highly touted freshman in college football and you burned his redshirt year by letting him play the second half of one blowout game in your season.

He wasted one option on him, but I don't think the Reds are concerned about needing to use them all at this point. The service time probably won't come back to bite them either.
Re: Best prospect the Reds have?
Nothing better for a team than a starting pitcher dominating AAA who forces his way to the big leagues.
Usually so tough to find good starters, this is like a huge gift if it continues.
Go get 'em, Cingrani.

Would you say Cingrani is the defacto 6th starter at this point?

No. He is certainly in the conversation. But Daniel Corcino has a say in it too. I also think that depending on the situation that would arise, Armando Galarraga could be in the running if it were earlier in the year, even with what Cingrani just did last night.

That all came to my head after I pressed submit on my previous post lol Thanks, Doug.

14 K's in 6 innings and a no hitter.
One of the best starts in Bats history? Very exciting. Doug nice job on the links.....that's a huge deal!
