Whatever happened to Samone Peters
I've done some web searches and it seems like he just tailed off within the Reds system and then into independent ball. We saw him play in Dayton and for sheer power, he was something else. One suspected that he would not figure all the rest of it out at a higher level, but maybe he might make a decent DH in the A.L.
My son once called it at a game in Dayton that he would hit a Grand Slam to win the game - this at the top of the ninth with Peters coming up 5th. I'll be darned if he didn't do it and the lady in front of us turned and exclaimed "This kid called it - he called it!". He took a ball over for Peters to sign and told him he'd called it too.
So where's he at?

I was at that game sitting out in the front of the lawn. That ball was headed directly at us and then it landed over our heads behind the lawn on the concrete area near my parents. If I hadn't been with my friends and had been back with them I would have caught it for sure.

Looks like he's here: [at least last season]

I agree with the sheer power and remembered some of his HRs. Don't remember much about his defense tho...
