Bruce gets a day off, so Dudstick is in the lineup. I would just like to point out that Jay Bruce was OPSing a deadly .973 when Dusty decided to give him a day off against Santana and the Mets. He pinch hit that day and hit a sacrifice fly.
He has gone 1 for 29 since then. So maybe days off aren't always what they are cracked up to be. Because his last day off has not done a thing for Jay Bruce. Maybe, just maybe, when a hitter is hot you just ride it on out.
The Rockies will play us very tough....Keep CarGo and Tulo from killing us and should be fine for next 3 series.
Heisey finally goes yard tonight.
It had gotten in Bruce's head, you could really tell. A day off couldn't really hurt.
I'd like to see another big night from the top of our order tonight. Anyone think Stubbs could go 30-30 this year? I heard Harold Reynolds mention that he thought he would get there.

7 in a row??? Legggggggoooo!
Ripken says that days off are for sissies...
nice pitch!
Looks like a very big strike zone if you go by the top of the first.
this guy pitching for rockies has been bad all year.
Have the Reds put up a crooked number in the first yet this year?
