I was at the Reds/Pirates game on Thursday
It's a strange sensation going to a game that sparsely crowded, due to the g20. There might have been 500-1000 people there. They actually closed off the upperdeck for the first time since the opening of PNC Park. Was anyone else from the board in attendance? They pretty much let anyone sit wherever they wanted to. I moved around a bit. I mainly sat in the bleachers right next the Reds' bullpen, even though my seats weren't for that area. Usually, they check tickets, but they didn't today.
Anyway, has anyone else ever attended a game where basically noone was there? I left the ballpark today with several baseball. Those souveniers were quite easy to obtain today.

Yes. Many a Giants game in the early-mid 80's.

I was at today’s game also. It was eerily reminiscent to the first game of the double header against the Pirates last month at GABP.
The weekday afternoon games between losing teams during the school year just kills attendance. When you throw in all the security, street closings, etc. caused by the G20 meetings, you have the perfect storm of poor box office.

Yeah, the crowd was small because of the G20. That's it.
Without the G20, you have to figure at least 1500 would have shown.

I'm saying a sellout with standing room only areas on the rotunda.

Chances are, I probably saw you, because given the small crowd, I think I struck up a conversation with just about every Reds fan in attendance.

I went to a Braves game in mid eighties where I walked up 20 minutes before the game and bought 2 seats on the dugout-there was noone there.

Went to the final home game of the season last year at GABP, which happened to be a make-up game against the Marlins. The paid attendance in the box score (if I remember correctly) stated that there was around 12,000 there, but there couldn't have been more than 500 people there. We sat in right field, and we could easily hear the home plate ump call balls and strikes it was so empty.
