This current stretch is the easiest we'll face the entire season. I think we make a strong move between now and the 25th. Can't have more efforts like tonight's though.

Yes. I really do. I really think we'll end up kicking the tail out of the Pirates & Cards in the remaining games. And I really think we'll go on some nice winning streaks still.
Am I overly optimistic...probably. But I see how much talent this team has, I see how much they've underachieved, and then I think about the fact that we're in playoff position right now and we STILL haven't played together yet as a team. We still haven't hit, pitched and played defense well all at the same time yet. And I still think we will. When this team starts clicking on all cylinders...we'll be scary good.

This team is not winning the division. I would love to be wrong.

Bateman, so surprising you would take a personal shot like "What's happened to you in life." Nice work there. I'm sure you would say some BS like that to someone's face.
Ask my brother (who is a poster on this board), I absolutely would say that to someone's face.
I just never understand when people here seem to get such enjoyment from another person's failures. I have sympathy for these players.
Look at Hannahan's career defensive stats. The guy has been an above average fiedler at 3rd for a long time, and has a career OPS of .660, which although below average, combined with solid defensive player, has always been an acceptable bench player. I'm not sure what you expect from bench players? By definition they are below average major league starters. Otherwise, they would be starting for other teams.
They are going to have bad games sometimes, just like starters do. Look at jay Bruce. How often do you watch a game and think "boy, Jay really stunk up the joint tonight"? Probably twice a week. And he's considered a viable starter.
So excuse me for not jumping for joy, and running as fast as I can to take pot shots every time a marginal major league player has a bad game.

Getting enjoyment from Jack Hannahan sucking? What are you talking about man?
Yes, we're all thrilled he sucks. Keep talking in circles, just try not to get too dizzy.

Presumably you enjoy doing so, because it seems every time a Reds players does something that negatively affects the Reds, you are driving the bus load of people that think these players are dumb, or need to be unemployed yesterday.
Watch other major league teams. By your definition, I honestly think there are only about 12 major league calibre players per team.

For the life of me, I simply cannot comprehend why someone feels the need to post this in early August.
You really need to channel that negative energy.
I suggest Yoga. I'm guessing you have some flamboyant yoga gear you can utilize.

Aww. Nice thing for a Little League announcer to say about a kid who's feeling bad about making 3 errors.
Wait, he's talking about a grown man making $2 million per year? He FEELS BAD for him? Hahahaha! You can't make this stuff up. How about as the Reds' announcer you call a spade a spade and say what a joke it is that this guy is even on the team?
Hey Kelch, feel bad for the guy who is laid off and is having trouble feeding his family. Don't feel bad for some guy who is basically stealing $2 million per year from the Reds.
This post is almost worth getting bent outa shape over, but I'm not. To me shows what type of person you are....or aren't!!!
