Hanigan fouls out the catcher.

Hanigan's pretty strong but I don't think he could hit the catcher into the stands! ;)
Re: 9/3/12 - Reds vs Phillies
Cueto strikes out swinging. 7 Ks. 3-1 Phillies after 5.

Not just the Reds do that - takes a few games for the scouting to get caught up on new pitchers. Lots of them have good first couple of outings before the hitters figure them out.
This is his second start, btw.
Re: 9/3/12 - Reds vs Phillies
Howard strikes out swinging. 4 Ks for Cueto.

You are right, my bad.
I dunno, I think we can still get to him. But I'm just disappointed in Johnny's apparent lack of concentration with 2 outs in the 5th.
And there's another HR. :(
Re: 9/3/12 - Reds vs Phillies
Mayberry homers to the first row in left. 4-1 Phillies.
Re: 9/3/12 - Reds vs Phillies
You can't just throw the ball right down the middle to the pitcher and expect to get away with it. It seems like the Reds get burned quite a bit by opposing pitchers with the bat.
Thank God the Phillies aren't going to the playoffs, because they own the Reds.
Re: 9/3/12 - Reds vs Phillies
Come on Offense...Cueto is trying to win 20 games this season. This guy is a RH version of Tom Browning. Let's go! :D
Re: 9/3/12 - Reds vs Phillies
Brown pops out to 2nd. Nice catch. 2 outs.

He doesn't look very focused after a pretty good start. Something got him out of his rhythm and zone.
So long as the lead doesn't get too big, they can come back against this kid.
Re: 9/3/12 - Reds vs Phillies
Frandsen singles to left.
Re: 9/3/12 - Reds vs Phillies
Lerud grounds out to 1st. 4-1 Phillies mid 6th.
