Re: Who is Redszone's #32 prospect?
Would like to see Juan Silva and Brian Pearl added to the list 2 guys who I'd rank above alot of these guys.
Re: Who is Redszone's #32 prospect?
Who in the world is Jake Kahaulelio and Jaren Matthews never heard of them... Where did they play and where did they come from?
Re: Who is Redszone's #32 prospect?
Re: Who is Redszone's #32 prospect?
My pick was removed from the choices.
Matt Fairel

I feel you GOYA... my pick removed as well.

Re: Who is Redszone's #32 prospect?
I'm cycling out players that receive one vote or less. The next poll will have some new names.
Re: Who is Redszone's #32 prospect?
So camisadelgolf can you tell us anything about Jake Kahaulelio or Jaren Matthews?

Kahaulelio's likely ceiling is as a utility infielder, but on his good days, he looks like he could handle being an everyday second baseman. There isn't really a plus skill that stands out, but he's solid in a lot of areas. He has good pop for his size, average speed, plays solid defense at a middle infield position, and has good plate discipline.
The Red Sox were very high on Jaren Matthews at one time. In fact, he agreed to terms on a contract when he was drafted by them, but he had a last-second change of heart. Reportedly, he has good power and athleticism, and it was a surprise that he fell so far in the draft. He strikes me as very raw, and there are probably questions about his pitch recognition skills, but in the meantime, I don't see him having any problem finding a way to produce at a high level in the low minors.
Re: Who is Redszone's #32 prospect?
Felix Perez. Highest floor among those left and his ceiling isn't bad either.

Here's a Jaren Matthews video: http://baseballbeginnings.com/2010/0...deos#more-5732
And here's an interview in which he discloses that he was once offered 3rd round money to sign: http://baseballbeginnings.com/2010/0...s-qa#more-4660

So the point is that you like these "prospects" better than names of players that other have asked you to add to the list, but you have unilaterally decided to remove.
Not that you're biased or anything. Not that there's anything wrong with running a biased poll.
Re: Who is Redszone's #32 prospect?
Perez, but my next choice would be Fairel. I hope we can get him back on the list.

Wow. hahaha
I think I made it pretty clear in the past few polls that I was going to cycle out any names that got one vote or less. If people aren't voting for Kahaulelio and Matthews--which is totally fine with me since I don't think they're much of prospects, and I'm not voting for them either--then I'm going to bring in some new names and see what kind of response they get.
If there's someone you like, I'd place a bet that he'll be included in the next poll or two. But if you're still skeptical, I highly recommend bringing up the names and possibly giving some reasons to include them on the next poll. But if you want to accuse me of being biased with no basis for your argument, that's cool, too.
