Re: Reds v. Pirates Tuesday 9/11
Valdez with another quick out...wait, a single?
Re: Reds v. Pirates Tuesday 9/11
Followed by Leake with a sacrifice bunt. Kind of wish they'd just let him hit.
Re: Reds v. Pirates Tuesday 9/11
Leake does all of the other things really well. Great fielder, great bunter, great hitting pitcher, great baserunner for a pitcher...when he can give you 6 innings and 3 runs or so he's the kinda guy that gives your team a great chance to win.
Re: Reds v. Pirates Tuesday 9/11
It is amazing that Stubbs has so few doubles with the speed that he possesses.

I'm not saying he's actually getting on base, I'm saying if they're working on his hitting then at least there's a glimmer of progress shining through.
Re: Reds v. Pirates Tuesday 9/11
Boom goes the dynamite. I am calling Stubbs' shot for him.
Wrong.
Re: Reds v. Pirates Tuesday 9/11
Three grounders to short for Stubbs in four innings of play.
Re: Reds v. Pirates Tuesday 9/11
Well Stubbs' work with Jacoby has mastered that groundball to SS. I hear next they'll be working on the flyball to the CFer.
Re: Reds v. Pirates Tuesday 9/11
No strikeouts yet for Stubbs somehow makes this his best game in weeks.

I actually agree with you. I don't see the purpose of putting Stubbs in over Heisey at all at this point. However, if he is going to be in the game, I'd rather see him making some contact with the ball rather than strikeout after strikeout.
Re: Reds v. Pirates Tuesday 9/11
Wow. Im my opinion, that was a championship caliber inning of heads-up baseball.
