Redszone Community Prospect Vote #20
Vote for the player who you think is the Reds #20 prospect (the best prospect who is not yet on the list). We will go with this as far as you guys want to take it.
I will post a new list every 2 days with 10-15 options to vote on.
If you feel like making an argument on why a guy should be voted here, feel free to vote and state why you voted for that player.
If there is someone that is not currently listed as an option to vote on, vote for 'other' then just state who you want to vote for in the thread.
If there is anyone you would like to see as an option on the next poll, just say so and if they garner enough support, they will be placed on the next poll. Guys with the lowest amount of votes will usually be removed for the next few guys who were talked about in the previous thread.
Prospect 1 - Jay Bruce
Prospect 2 - Homer Bailey
Prospect 3 - Johnny Cueto
Prospect 4 - Joey Votto
Prospect 5 - Todd Frazier
Prospect 6 - Drew Stubbs
Prospect 7 - Matt Maloney
Prospect 8 - Josh Roenicke
Prospect 9 - Travis Wood
Prospect 10 - Devin Mesoraco
Prospect 11 - Kyle Lotzkar

Prospect 14 - Carlos Fisher
Prospect 15 - Juan Francisco
Prospect 16 - Neftali Soto

Ah crap, Dickerson should have been on this, he got votes last time.
Re: Redszone Community Prospect Vote #20
Sam LeCure. Good K rates, decent WHIP until last year. He'll likely repeat AA. If he comes out strong, he positions himself as prime trade bait.

I vote Dickerson too. With the Hammy trade, Dickerson becomes a bigger factor in 2008 IMO. If nothing else, it may enhance his trade value. Of course I had him at number 12 before any of this ever went down. Plus defender, LH Bat, speed, can take a walk and close to the bigs.

Lecure had 104 Ks in 110 innings at AA as a 23 year old pitcher. He should make the top twenty.
Re: Redszone Community Prospect Vote #20
I'll again go with Pedro Viola.

I wonder how mad some of you would get if I voted Herrera over Pedro Viola? :ughmamoru

Daryl Thompson outperformed Sean Watson at the same levels of play last season. Admittedly, Watson is the better prospect, but Thompson has a low-occasionally mid-90s fastball, plus a good curve and changeup. He's deserving of a spot in the top 20.
My vote is for Daryl Thompson.
Re: Redszone Community Prospect Vote #20
I voted Thompson. This is getting to be tough alot of players are grouped together really close.

I'd like to see Richie Gardner on next poll. Tore thru high A and AA before hitting bump at AAA.
