I may be a little weird in that I don't believe that .900 OPS's are created equal.
The OBP is the more important component so I agree.
To this date there are 13 guys in the NL slugging 500 or better.
There is one guy with an OBP over 425.
In total there are 7 guys with OPS +900.
In other words if Votto OPS's 900+ he's elite.

I'll take the Votto with the higher slugging percentage.

Meh, I'm wrong.
Votto had a great year last year. I'm still getting used to the new run environment.
And I'm grumpy he's hurt.

Votto is on the disabled list for the second time with a strained left quad. He had a platelet-rich plasma injection last week. PRP injections promote healing.
"He's doing some light strengthening," Lessard said. "Unfortunately, it's a little more involved than that."
After a PRP injection, the player has to rest awhile before resuming rehab.
A return by late August or early September is the best the Reds can hope for.

Votto, meanwhile, is still working out in Cincinnati. He had a second platelet-rich plasma injection more than a week ago.
"Whenever they get into those PRP injections, there's going to be additional soreness involved with that therapy, so he's having to work his way through that, as well as the issues with the injury as well," Price said. "But we're getting very good reports on his progress."

Seriously, these "updates" are like the opposite of an update. I feel like I know less than before, not more.
Re: Votto Continuing Treatment
Oh, its like reading World War 2 propaganda. It just seems like a big smoke screen. Shut him down, see ya in 2015, whats the shame in that?

What do you want them to say? Doesn't really seem like there is anything to say really.
