Just started John Dies At The End. Anyone read it?
Just finished this. Huge fan of On The Road so I had to buy and read this when I saw it at the store.

Just finished "Team of Rivals" by Doris Kearns Goodwin. Whew... 754 pages. But a good read if you have the time. I probably took more time than usual because I re-read if the language is hard to comprehend at first.
On lighter reading completed "Outbreak! Plagues That Changed History" and
"Wicked Plants" about poisonous plants.
I'm getting back into Ed McBain's 87th Precinct novels...
Also, this may have been mentioned somewhere else in this massive thread, but I do Goodreads.com, and it's invaluable in finding new stuff to read.
I am currently rereading Somerset Maugham's "The Razor's Edge." I break it out every year or two for a reread. It has been a favorite of mine for about 20- 25 years or so. The movies of it do not give it justice.

"grace a memoir" by grace coddington, creative director of "vogue".
"Well Being" - Tom Rath
"The Start-Up of You" - Reid Hoffman
"Songs of the Doomed" - Hunter S. Thompson
I drive an hour each way to and from work, and I do the audiobook thing to stay occupied. Right now I'm listening to "A Game of Thrones". I'm around halfway through. It's pretty engrossing. I haven't watched the TV show, fwiw, but probably will when I finish.
WOY and RichRed mentioned Jerry Kramer's Instant Replay way back in the thread, I'm reading it now. My buddy loaned me that book and I loaned him Ball Four.
