Yorman Rodriguez. All of the tools in the world. Peripherals looked solid in the GCL before being too aggressively promoted.
I voted Francisco over Yorman. If Francisco has the speed and ability to play LF, which reports say he does, then he can find regular playing time in Cincy next season in some form. He can flat out mash at the plate.
Wood for me.
I still think Yorman is a little too young. I like what Wood showed more this year than what Yorman did. I would rate Yorman #5 though. But with Wood's outstanding year, it's hard not to put him at this spot.
JF ever so slightly over Yorman, mostly just because of the latter's distance away. Then Heisey, then Wood.
I went with Wood. He may not be an ace, but a 22 year old lefty who can dominate the upper minors is a-ok.
This is really tough. At one point I had Rodriguez at 3, but I can't get past how far he has to go. I like Francisco a lot as well and had him here too but he has a higher probability of washing out (and of being a star) than the others so I went the safer route. Cozart is in the picture by now since he'll at least be a major leaguer of some type, but I'd like to see him hit at AAA first. That leaves Heisey for me. He looks to at minimum be a solid role playing OF with power, speed and defensive abilities at all three spots.
Yorman because of his age and potential
Gotta keep going with Francisco who showed a lot at AAA and the in the majors at age 22 with still plenty of room to grow.
Sometimes I like to think of it this way- if Yorman were in another organization, would I trade Francisco or Wood to acquire him? And the answer, for me at least, is "heck yes I would".
Yorman, again.
Juan Francisco
He will be underrated at #4
I think we know who our top seven are going to be, in whatever order. After that, it'll get interesting.
