I think everyone's stressing about the NL Central. The Reds still have a very viable chance at it but one series sweep and it's probably not going happen. Since this thread is more about the division championship, there's been low attendance.

Reds NL Central tragic numbers
26 for the Cards
27 for the Pirates
Astros have been playoff eliminated. Vegas can relax.
Sure, I want them to get in too. However, the wild card is a much harder way to go now than ever. The winning wild card team will have used there best pitcher in the one game playoff, and will not have home field advantage. Up till last year, whoever got the lone wild card went into the playoffs on equal footing with the division winners. Now, the wild card team will be at a real disadvantage. But it will still beat being done...

with the D-backs loss

hoping this is short lived tonight
Edit: nope, Dbacks win as well. Gonna have to wait another day for more.
So we lose and a wild card team trying to catch us wins and our Magic number goes down? I'm cool with it, but why?
because the team closest to us (i.e. the one we have the magic number over) lost. Doesn't yet matter what the Nats do for magic number purposes until they pass the D-backs.
Or if you want, we can say the magic number over the Nats stayed at 20 after today's action.
Any excuse to post a pic of Robby is a good one. :O)
Let's not forget about The Chief.
