have any of you been to the argosy casino in lawrenceburg, in? i was thinking about making a trip out there the next time i'm in town...just wondering if it is worth the 20 minute drive or not...

It's worth a 20 minute drive, but not much more.
It's crowded and smokey.
Depends what you like to play. If you wanna spend 20 more mins in the car, Grand Victoria is MUCH nicer, IMO. It's a shame Belterra is the least accessible, b/c it's by far the nicest of the 3.
Argosy, IIRC, is still the only one of the three that still charges for admission.

Belterra is easily the nicest. I saw the 2001 World Series game 6 at the bar there. People were betting on everything. It was pretty amusing.
My parents prefer to stay at Belterra, but will eat at Grand Vic or Argosy before they get there. It gets very crowded (per my parents) on Friday nights at the buffet because of the families who only come for the food.
Argosy=good food, never been to the casino.
Their radio commercials are getting REAL OLD, FAST. :rolleyes:
