You have to give it time to brew. Like Walt Jocketty himself said nearly a century ago is still true today, we will make no trade before it's time.
Warning: obscure reference. The above should not have been read by anyone who did not watch too much tv in the 80's.

I had surgery Nov. 2 for a 60% torn labrum and 40% torn bicep. I started my hitting rehab Jan 2, throwing rehab and golf on Feb 2. Thats all without having the rehab resources that Ludwick has at his disposal.
I love when people simply tell me what I said is "not true".
I had my shoulder repaired in 2009, and it easily took 4 months.
Gee, could it be that every injury is different and some can take longer to heal than others? I think the answer is yes.
Ludwick said himself on Fox in the booth with Thom and Welsh that it would be mid-August to early September.

I may be wrong but I watched that and I don't remember that timeline given.

Agree I don't believe he gave that time frame at all, only said he was rehabbing. May have said he hoped to return mid season but never said Aug or Sept
Re: Reds/Marlins Trade Brewing?
Reds head to Miami. Will they come home with a new LFer? Hmmmm.

Clearly the reason Heisey is starting his rehab in Pensacola tonight is to show him off to Miami's powers that be. He is part of the trade.
I believe none of what I just wrote.

I believe you sell yourself short and should start believing in your psychic abilities.
Heisey for Stanton.
Write it down! NebraskaRed has "sensed" it.

I hurt my shoulder throwing on a cold April day in 1979. It's still not right.
Re: Reds/Marlins Trade Brewing?
I wouldn't count on anything from Ludwick this season. Look, it took him over two months into last season to get going (be productive). I have this feeling that once they send Lutz down to AA if he performs well the Reds could bring him back up straight from AA and completely bypass AAA.

What a coincidence, mine was a cold March afternoon in 1979, snow falling, and our 6'9" flamethrower pitcher begged out because of the cold. Our first year coach looked at me and said "wanna pitch?" I said yes, and have never been the same. Of course, I am 5'9" so I had no future anyway. At least in The Game.

Heisey didn't take his at bat in the first inning tonight. They used a pinch hitter.
If he's not quite ready for the rehab assignment, the Stanton trade could be delayed a bit.

Maybe the manager was more interested in winning the game than getting Heisey work?
