Ok, Game is about to start. I will do PBP for the game as long as I can. I will do pitch by pitch for Homer, and just at bat by at bat when the Lookouts are hitting.
Hmm, Homer is not pitching today. He was scheduled to go today....
Let the theories begin. He's on his way to Cincy! ;)
I have been listening for the most part and havent heard a mention of why Bailey isnt pitching today. Tim Evearitt of the Chattanoogan said in yesterdays game article that Homer was supposed to pitch today....it has been 5 days (he last pitched 8/1), so something is strange.
Just throwing it out there.....
It appears Eddie G could be headed to the DL. Maybe we are calling him up and are going to use him as a reliever? If he only pitches 1 or 2 innings the control of his brekaing ball becomes less important.
Again that rumor has to substance. Just thinking out loud.
Well i turned the game off. No Votto and no Bailey means No listening to it for me. Hope nothing is up with Homer.
Would anybody have a link to something that says Homer's out?
That would help me, at least.
I don't think he was pulled. Being that it is Augest, extra days off become more likely.
He wasnt in the starting line up Matt. Box score is available on milb.com.
According to the percieved 5 man rotation, it was his day to pitch today. Tim Evearitt also pegged him as todays starter in yesterdays game coverage in his news article in the chattanoogan.
Any word on this?
Didn't Chattanooga have a rainout a few days ago? Maybe they just bumped everyone back a day instead of skipping someone's start.
Edit: Never mind, I just saw where they played two yesterday, so they should have been on rotation.
The Lookouts let another position player pitch today in a 10-3 game.
Jeff Bannon: 1 Inning, 2 Hits, 2 Runs (both unearned), 2 Walks, 0 Strikeouts
They have the guy on a strict IP for the season schedule. My guess is that they are just trying too shave some innings off him now so he can finish up strong.
Bailey has pitched 112.1 innings so far, so I guess that could be it. Has he ever pitched this many innings before, including in high school?
