Another example of why I hate the running game in front of the big hitters. Run at the bottom of the order where the hitters actually need the help to get the runner around, but don't risk removing runners in front of the big boys.
Re: 5/22/11 - Reds vs Indians
Ears with a diving catch in LF to end inning
1-0 Reds with the Indians coming to bat
Re: 5/22/11 - Reds vs Indians
Whether he is wild or accurate, it is about impossible for EV to have a low pitch count...his stuff is that hard to hit.

I meant his stuff is hit hard.
Re: 5/22/11 - Reds vs Indians
That lead didn't last long

The running game has hurt the Reds so far this season, but I have no problem with Stubbs being aggressive at all times. And if the umps did their job, Stubbs is at second base there. Carrasco clearly flinched.

I hope Pete has the over for today's game. ;)

I agree that Stubbs should be aggressive. He and Phillips should hit 5th or 6th.

How long? How long will the Reds continue to put themselves in a hole in the first inning? Volquez simply is our fifth worst starter in that regard. It gets old pretty quick for me. Dusty must have the patience of Job.
Re: 5/22/11 - Reds vs Indians
Geez Welsh, don't pin yesterday's loss on Bailey.

Volquez in the first inning is as predictable as the sun rising in the east.

Thanks Ramon for two high throws = 2 runs
