When I asked where, I assumed he was a UC or Xavier alum or something... but then he said "I played for the Bengals." I suddenly was able to put two and two together and realized he was the same guy I watched catch so many passes from Boomer Esiason in my youth!
Had he not said anything, I would not have been able to tell who he was other than the guy in front of me ordering a pot pie. Incidentally, Eddie now works for a law firm in Miami and is still trying to get his injury settlement worked out with the Bengals (that's the downer part about the story I'm afraid).
Anyway, I know this is a bit off topic, but I just wanted to share the story.
First game at GABP, I was there. I was hanging out in the hotel lobby (I was probably like 13-14 at the time) when I spot Kenny Lofton walk in. Kenny Lofton was probably one of my Top 5 favorite players growing up.
I walk up to him and I'm like oh my god Kenny Lofton! Can I have autograph?
He goes, and I quote, "No, go to bed kid."
Will never forget it lol.

I didn't recognize him, usually see his back. That must be why the ladies comment on the quality of his backside.

Harvey said he wants to have Derek Jeter's life, especially his love life, and have "the best apartment in the city" when he gets "that $200 million contract."
Quote:
“That guy is the model,” the 24-year-old pitcher told Men's Journal. “I mean, first off, let’s just look at the women he’s dated. Obviously, he goes out — he’s meeting these girls somewhere — but you never hear about it. That’s where I want to be.” That must be exciting news for Anne V, the supermodel he's been spotted with, and Mets fans, whose potential franchise player is more interested in emulating Jeter's celebrity than his World Series-winning ways.
Never fear, fans. Harvey, who's off to a 7-2 start with a 2.35 ERA, says he won't go out before starts. Who do you think he is, Johnny Manziel?
“But those other days? Yes, I’m gonna go out,” he said. “If I was locked up in my house all week, I don’t know what I’d be like on the baseball field.” Apparently, if he gets to keep playing the field in the Big Apple, Harvey knows exactly what he'll be like on the baseball field: King of New York.
“No matter what, New York is now my home,” he said. “I could buy a place now, but I’ve gotta wait for that $200 million contract. If I’m going to buy an apartment, it has to be the best apartment in the city.”
