Re: 5/26/2013 Cubs at Reds
Marshall's absence hurts, he would have been in there at least to face Rizzo.

A sellout in May at GABP? That's great to hear. But that wave thing?

No, no, no. Didn't you know that you're supposed to pull the pitcher the second someone gets a hit off them?
Re: 5/26/2013 Cubs at Reds
I guess our bullpen is not as good as we thought. Besides that, we have had 1 hit since the 4th inning.

I guess Parra came in cold. And Hoover has been warming up too.

Career 3.46 ERA
He had a 3.38 in 2013 before today
Last season he only let 4 of 42 inherited runners score
Maybe you would care to give us your definition of inept
Re: 5/26/2013 Cubs at Reds
I'm being serious but shouldn't you always have someone light throwing or at least standing just in case you need someone to warm up super quick?

2 solid hits and a wild pitch mixed in there. If you were watching, Ondrusek clearly didn't have it.
But Dusty can't see things like that.

Its all part of Ondrusek's master plan to tease you into putting him into a game when it counts. Don't give in. Use him for mop up duties.

So you pull the pitcher after 2 hits. Got it.

He might pitch better if he did

And now a walk and two on.

Exactly. Every team in the majors has a reliever like Ondrusek. Not every bullpenner can be a Marshall or a Chapman. If he didn't have those occasional poor games...he WOULD be one of those great relievers.
Parra however....*sigh* I've never understood what anybody saw in this guy. Never.
