Run, Drew, Run.
Maybe the best point in all of this. Ramon filled in for Joey last year. His power is more or less gone, but he's still a much better hitter than Cairo and was surprisingly good defensively at first when he filled in there last year.
But no, you have to give Cairo a start. Can't put your best possible lineup out there and best foot forward when you're battling the Cardinals for 1st place and playing the lowly Pirates. Heck, even though he's scuffling right now, Gomes would be a better alternative. Obviously he's a better hitter, and defensively you wouldn't be lossing much if anything in comparison to Cairo.
Maybe Dusty promised Miguel's mom or someone in his family that he'd give Miguel a start. After all, it's pretty much little league managing at its finest.
Speed thrills.
Guess we're alone here redsfan_12.
We need to start coming through w/ RISP.
Let's go Hanigan (Stubbs on 2nd).
Hanigan walks, Arroyo will show Cairo how to sacrifice.
All hands safe on an excellent bunt (and a slip) by Arroyo.
Yes. TexasDave.
I'd let Arroyo hit.
They'd probably intentionally walk Cabrera so they could pitch to Cairo. (I would)
If the Reds don't start putting runs on the board against this Ohlendorf character, they should be fed to the dogs at the ballpark.
Mr. RBI up.
Anyone with the word "dorf" in their name, deserves to be hit.
Sac fly and the Reds draw first blood.
Arroyo's ability to reach first base made them have to pitch to Cabrera.
Does Cairo end the inning?
Quick vote.
Miguel Cairo please make me eat crow here.
Cairo comes through and they throw Hanigan out at the plate. It's always something.
It took him one lousy pitch.
Sometimes the "karma" of Cairo is too much to overcome.
