Re: Reds vs. D'backs Tuesday 8/28
Looks like few if any RBI chances for Phillips and Ludwick again. Same old and worn out story.
Re: Reds vs. D'backs Tuesday 8/28
Hanigan's .380 OBP is being wasted because he's a catcher....it's things like this, why Red's fans can't fully support Dusty.
Re: Reds vs. D'backs Tuesday 8/28
Dusty's lineups are a combined 78-52 this season. If you can't fully support that then that is a you issue.

If the issue is wanting the team to be even better, then you are correct.

The record has very little to do with the lineup he puts out there as we're scoring less than we did last year as a losing team.

So, by that logic, lineup construction is largely irrelevant. Yet the first page of every game thread has some silly gripe about it.

If you get lights out pitching, the second that slows down you can get exposed fast. Also just because we have a good record doesn't mean the lineup construction doesn't hold the offense back.

The record precisely tells us whether or not the Reds are being held back. There is no other gauge. Just like the pitching staff kept the Reds from achieving more in 2011.

No it doesn't, we are playing 5 games over our Pythagorean we have our record because the pitching has carried the offense and we have a lights out closer.
We are scoring 4.35 RPG or 0.01 over the league average and have 5 guys over .785 OPS, 4 of those guys over .850 OPS and 3 over .900, the offense should be far better that what we have and having terrible numbers out of the 1st and 2nd spot every game are a major factor to the offensive issues.
Re: Reds vs. D'backs Tuesday 8/28
Bucs 3-0 over Cards, top 4. Bucs with 6 hits off Westbrook thru 3.

Hope they don't skip him against the Cardinals this weekend. Could be a 5 game losing streak for them if they don't come back from now 6-0 down.
Re: Reds vs. D'backs Tuesday 8/28
Bucs still 3-0 over Cards, bot 5...Cards with 1 hit off McDonald
Re: Reds vs. D'backs Tuesday 8/28
Bucs now 4-0, bot 5...Bucs have 2nd & 3rd, no out
