Re: 4/17/07 - Brewers @ Reds
off the cuff here, but when is the last time the Reds scored 11 runs without a home run?

The pitching matchups favor the Reds in both games against the Astros. A sweep would be nice but I'd settle for a split as long as they win the series vs the Phillies.
The Phillies are slumping right now. I hate to play a team in a bad slump, they are due.....

Last time the REDS had 15 or more hits in a game was Aug. 29, 2006 @ Los Angeles (that wonderful west coast trip). The REDS lost in 16 innings, 6-5. They had 17 hits in the game.
Last 9-inning game with 15 or more hits was Aug. 22, 2006 when they had 15 hits in a 14-0 thrashing of the Astros at GABP (Lohse 1st win as a REDS player).

Belisle didn't have his best night but I'm not worried. I still think he's going to have a solid season and become a fixture in the Reds rotation for a few years. His problem tonight was pitch location - he left two or three balls out over the plate while ahead in the count and each time it came back to bite him. Ah well, he'll bounce back.

Ross was his catcher the first two games.

Nice game, fun game, very nice to see multiple contributors from the team.
Re: 4/17/07 - Brewers @ Reds
Offense. Runs. Win.
I like.

True but we probably just need to give credit to the brew crew in this one.
They can put up some runs.

Why? If Homer comes out and performes like this are you throwing him under the bus as easy as Belisle?

But see if Kearns was on the Roster along with Deno coming into this spring. Call it presumption but i believe Hamilton never see's Cinncinati. But I am on Krivsky's side and believe he has done a great job.
