Anyone know when we will know who will be on the roster for the NLDS? Game time? Is there a deadline? Curious as to how many pitchers we are going to carry and so forth.

shut up
ps. Dayton sucks
Wednesday morning
What batting order would you guys put out there if you were Dusty?
I'd have to go with...
1. Stubbs
2. Phillips
3. Votto
4. Rolen
5. Bruce
6. Gomes/Nix
7. Cabrera
8. Hernandez/Hanigan (although you could make a case to bump Hanigan up in the lineup)
Just curious what others think
The 11 pitchers almost surely will be:
Volquez, Arroyo, Cueto, Bailey, Wood
Massett, Cordero, Ondrusek, Chapman, Rhodes and Bray
The position player locks are:
Votto, Phillips, Cabrerra, Rolen, Gomes, Bruce, Stubbs, Hernandez
Cairo, Janish, Nix, Hannigan and Heisey
That leaves one spot for Edmonds, Alonso, or Fransisco. I think the Reds will keep Edmonds if he is able to hit. Then Fransisco, Then Alonso.
I would give a spot to Harang over Alonso or Francisco..I know it's not gonna happen but he deserves it so much more than either of those 2.
i thought alonso couldn't be on the postseason roster because he didn't called up until september 1
Alonso was not up until September first, but Edmonds was on the roster. They could replace Edmonds with Alonso.
No way should Alonso be on the post season roster. No matter how much talent he has and how good he might be some day, he's not ready for major league pitching yet. He currently can't hit an average major league fastball. Francisco or Valaika would be better choices than Yonder. ( I do wish him all the best though, and hope he'll be ready for a breakout season next year.)
The Reds have up to 10am game day to present the roster.
how does everyone think bailey and wood will be used out of the pen?
I'm guessing Wood is used sparsely out of the pen, only because I could see him starting game 4 depending on the circumstances (ie., we're up 2-1, or Volquez had somewhat rough first start).
