I remember talks about acquiring him before the injuries. If he can become Greg Maddux 2.0 then maybe. I think he's done for though.
In his prime he used to shut us down... of course considering he was facing the likes of Ryan Freel, Sean Casey, and Wily Mo Pena... but he was one hell of a good pitcher.

"Brandon is probably the laziest SOB in baseball. He doesn't start pitching until Spring Training. I don't even think he picks up a baseball during the offseason. Just drinks and plays golf at the course on his farm all day."

You may be a childhood friend of Brandon, but you obviously don't know him very well if you think he didn't pick up a baseball until Spring Training.

There is absolutely nothing about Webb's pitching history that would lead me to believe this is even remotely true. On the other hand, similar stories about Kearns and Dunn were, quite easy to believe.
