That was my thought.

Now if only Fort Wayne would listen to the will of their people and put the city govt center to a real vote

(Really what other thread could this go in)
I knew I could count on getting at least one response like this one.
Here's why:
Because it infringes on parental rights. Parents should be able to make medical decisions for their kids without your interference. It's none of your business.
Personally I think body piercings are a type of mutilation but I don't think I have a right to keep you or your kids from doing it

I'll leave it at that.
San Francisco brings this on themselves. SF has already voted to ban cat declawing, military recruiters and happy meals. Us midwesterners aren't making this stuff up

And the Greater Cincinnati area has a 70,000 sq foot Creation Museum.
If you think that doesn't make a great deal of americans look at your region with a skunk eye you'd be wrong.
Re: To cut or not to cut?
I thought circumcision had more to do with hygiene than anything else in today's society. I can't really recall anyone saying "man I wish I weren't circumcised!" But then again who knows.

It's really not that difficult to use a little soap and water.

That seems like an unfair criticism. The Greater Cincinnati area never voted to build a Creation Museum.

True, also of note is the Bay Area has over 6 million inhabitants and only 700K of those are actual San Francisco residents.
And as a former resident of the Bay Area I can assure you that that distinction is hardly ever made.

Duly noted. It only serves to point out that most of the things being attributed to to "San Francisco" were measures enacted by the city council, not voted for in general elections.

San Fran passes some nutty laws, I agree. But that's because a large number of people of a certain personal philosophy choose to live there. They fit in there. Just like a large number of people of another certain personal philosophy choose to live in Texas, which has just as many nutty laws, IMO. The same is true for the Midwest, the East Coast, the Southwest...
I guarantee that most San Francisco citizens look at many aspects of our Midwest lifestyle and local laws as nutty too. Nuttiness is more about perspective than anything.

C'mon. You can do better than that...or at least I hope so...

No, San Francisco is kind of in a class all by itself where nuttiness is concerned

The Creation Museum was neither voted on by the voters nor by any city council which is why the comparison is so empty it's laughable. I'm sure our area has done some dumb things. The fact that the Creation Musuem is the best you can do drips of desperation.
Here's a suggestion...Relax take a deep breath or two, take your time and work your favorite search engine. I know you can do better than that Museum. We're not going anywhere. You don't have to rush this.
In the meantime, if we get dinged for the Creation Museum, do we get brownie points for the Freedom Center with you?

They say the same thing about Tezas, or Utah, or Kansas, or Mississipi, or even Ohio.
