Cards and Pirates are about to beat each other up and let Cincinnati back in. The good guys are gonna win this division.
If they can get six wins in Chicago and Milwaukee, things could get crazy.
I sense a Reds storm rising.
The Reds have gained 2.5 games in the past week.
This is FAR from over :)
Reds now 20 and 4 in their last 24 games against the Cubs.
In the midst of deep-seated Cardinals hatred and rising Pirates hatred, let us not forget what is truly important.
Reds have won 5 of 6 and still have not played anywhere near their best ball.

Not that it's necessarily untrue, but thought this little poll in Derrick Goold's STLToday.com chat yesterday was funny...

Cincinnati 2%
Themselves 61%

Klw, kudos to you for this thread....the team is poised, and the schedule supports, a move towards 1st place. They have been slogging through mud for a while, and yet now are 3.5 back, but positioned to continue striking.
Will be fun to look back at this thread 8/26.
Time for Reds to win on the road and win against better teams they play. For example, have to beat Brewers on the road. Have to win majority of games v Cards and Bucs.
The pattern of losing road games and losing series to good teams needs to end now. The Cub series in Chicago so far is a good start.
Staying strong with my "by August 25" prediction. :beerme:
4-1 now. Won 6 of 7. St Louis, Arizona win, Pittsburgh loses. Washington won its 4th in a row to remain 8.5 back in the WC.
Reds 3.5 behind Pittsburgh, 5.5 ahead of Arizona.
